Anchors, Soil Nails, Angle Hole Drilling

Ground or rock anchors (also referred to as soil nails) involve the drilling of a small diameter hole (horizontally, vertically or on an angle) using a top head drive rotary rig.  Usually a single steel bar is then grouted centrally throughout the length of the hole, and locked in place with a plate and nut.

Anchors can be installed at equal centres on a certain surface to increase stability, or as foundations for a small building.
